Hi …simple language and captivating to read, brought back memories of my childhood visit to these places and how we enjoyed those trips in the innocence and wonder of children…..would walk round that road again any time…..thanks for the journey sastha..

Hi Abed,

Day treks are fine to Red Hills and the surrounding places, but for camping you will require permission from the Wildlife Warden’s Office in Ooty and that will be a bit difficult. April in Ooty is not hot at all. Only other option is, there is a resort called Red Hills and you will have to stay there. You can call me at 9048742234 for any further details.

Hi Sastha,

I was planning a camping trip to Red hills with a group of friends – Wanted to know if it is allowed around one of the lakes or if any prior permissions are required. Also if April would be too hot or just okay for this.

Also if you are ok with it, could you share Ramesh’s number also .
